Santo Domingo Times is a leading Dominican lifestyle magazine with over 20 years in the market, focusing on personalities, gastronomy, fashion, travel, and leisure. Its mission is to deliver inspiring stories and promote the country's appeal locally and abroad.
As the in-house editorial designer, I managed the layout, adhering to guidelines while continually refining its distinctive and refined presentation.
Covers
Santo Domingo Times covers feature personalities from the issue's main stories. Through detailed photography production, the design respects the magazine's legacy style and aligns with the subject of the featured article.
Spread layouts
The magazine’s layout is neat and formal, adding playfulness within its grid's guidelines. Featured articles are open to visual variations, especially with their focus on photography.
Photo production
Photo production sets Santo Domingo Times apart from other magazines in the market. I contributed to productions by conceptualizing, preparing proposals, coordinating with collaborators like photographers and stylists, assisting directly on set, revising post-production, and inputting the layout design needs.
